✨As part of the European project APPROACH_project (Advanced Photonic PRocesses for novel sOlar energy hArvesting teCHnologies),Czech Advanced Technology and Research Institute CATRIN scientists visited the Swiss town of Aubonne, where Solaronix SA is based.
Founded in 1993 by brothers Andreas and Toby Meyer, this family business is a pioneer in the field of dye-sensitised solar cells and the first start-up to be granted a licence for this technology by the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in 1994. The company was established also thanks to the expertise acquired by the team of Professor @Michael Graetzel, under whose leadership Toby Meyer completed his PhD. Young talents can thus expand their knowledge in the field of solar energy conversion, which represents an exceptional opportunity for their further personal development.
